8 Inch Polycarbonate Signal

Our 8 inch polycarbonate signal is injection molded of UV stabilized, pre-colored opaque polycarbonate, known for its lightweight yet durable composite. The housings can be fastened together with locking serrated teeth and the aerodynamic design is wind resistant. One of our most popular and well known signals to date is our 8 inch Aluminum signal.These signals have kept some of the biggest cities in the world in motion, such as New York City.The signal housings are pressure die-cast of Aluminum Alloy 413 in accordance with ASTM - B85. The aluminum housings can also be fastened together to form multi-sectional signals, due to the locking serrated teeth. Stronger then the more saught after polycarbonate version, these signals were the first ever in our product line. Quality comes first and these signals are no exception.The signal housings are pressure die-cast of Aluminum Alloy 413 in accordance with ASTM - B85. The aluminum housings can also be fastened together to form multi-sectional signals, due to the locking serrated teeth. 12 Inch \ Non - Louvered
Stiffner Style
Our 12 inch Non-Louvered Signal Backplates are equipped with a 5/8" Formed Stiffner on the longer sides which gives them higher rigidity and structural integrity. They are able to fit many different signal heads and are stamped from 5052 - H32 Aluminum, bearing a nominal thickness of .050". A 5" border encompasses the signal head as well as a 3" corner radius on all corners. Along with the backplate is Stainless Steel screws and washer tabs for easy mounting.
12 Inch - Scalloped Style
Standard Form
Another backplate style that we carry for our vehicle signals is our "Scalloped" Style Backplate. These come in either Standard Form or Heavy Duty Form and have a form fitting design for a better signal fit and less chance of any sunlight shining through. They are stamped from 5052 - H32 Aluminum as well but feature a textured flat black paint front as an added preventitive against the reflection of sunlight. The Standard Form Backplate has a Nominal Thickness of .050" along with 3" Corner Radius on all corners. Along with the backplate is Stainless Steel screws and washer tabs for easy mounting.

Heavy Duty Form
Our Heavy Duty Form "Scalloped" Style backplate is one of our most popular and most durable backplates to date. Stamped from the same 5052 - H32 Aluminum, however they have a Nominal Thickness of .080" instead of the Standard Form thickness of .050". This has tested to hold up against the most extreme in weather conditions. They also feature a textured flat black paint front face as an added preventitive against the reflection of sunlight. Along with the backplate comes Stainless Steel screws and washer tabs for easy mounting.
